Seminar: Current topics of theoretical computer science
Summer term 2017
In this research-oriented seminar we discuss current important results in all fields of theoretical computer science such as logic, algorithms, coplexity theory and more.
Prerequisites for this seminar is a solid foundation in theoretical computer science and a successfull completion of the basic courses such as "Data Structures and Algorithms" and "Computability and Complexity".
The seminar-talks will be held in english.
Time and Place
Friday, 10:15am - 11:45am in the seminar room of chair i7 in room 4116.
This is a weekly seminar. During the weeks, in which there is no student-talk, someone in our team will present about their research.
Weekly attendance is mandatory.
Each participant of the seminar will be assigned a specific topic, usually in form of a research paper or a book chapter. He or she is expected to give a talk of about 45 to 60 minutes about it and write a paper of about 5 pages summarising it.
The topics will be assigned in the first meeting of the seminar.
